Our story
Every Stilo piece begins in Lisbon and is sewn a short walk from where it is drawn — in a small atelier in the Alcântara district. Keeping the making close is a deliberate choice.
Designed and made in one place
Designing and producing in the same city means we can see a piece through from a first sketch to a finished garment without losing anything in translation. A sample can be adjusted the same week it is cut. Problems are solved in the room, not over long email chains.
Fabrics we trust
Our cloth comes from mills we know: linen and cotton woven in northern Portugal. We choose fabrics for how they wear over years, not only how they look on the first day. It is slower to work this way, and it is worth it.
A garment carries the hands that made it. We would rather those hands were near.
Small runs, made well
We produce in small runs rather than large ones. It keeps the quality where we want it and means we are not left with mountains of unsold stock at the end of a season. A few considered collections a year is enough.
What this means for you
It means the pieces you buy are made with attention, from fabrics chosen to last, by people paid fairly for careful work. Slow fashion is not a slogan for us. It is simply how the atelier runs.
